| Batesburg-Leesville Primary and the B-L and Twin City Rotary Clubs will present "Got Book?" on Tuesday, January 31 at 6 p.m. in the BLPS cafeteria. An art show will also be held from 5-7 p.m. and a spaghetti supper sponsored by the school's PTO will be held in the cafeteria beginning at 6:30 p.m. |

Welcome to 2nd Grade!!
Hello and welcome to second grade! My name is Lauren Oxner and I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year! I am looking forward to another great school year. I would like to begin by telling you a little about myself. I am 26 years old and a 2007 graduate of USC-Aiken with a BA in Early Childhood Education. Upon graduating, I taught 4-K for one year. After returning to my hometown of Batesburg-Leesville, I began teaching 2nd grade in 2009 at BLPS. This will be my 4th year teaching. In my free time I enjoy cooking, dancing, singing, reading, and going for walks with my dog, Mollie. I also like to spend as much time with friends and family as possible.
Here are a few things I would like to bring to your attention for the school year:
**I encourage you to stay involved with and aware of things happening with your child's education.
**Please remind your child daily of our three school rules: Be Safe, Be Responsible, Be Respectful. I especially encourage this as we begin the new school year.
**Please help your child with homework as it is an important part in your child's academic success.
**If you ever have questions, concerns, or suggestions please feel free to contact me at the school at 532-4452 ext. 316. Please understand I may not be able to talk during instruction time but will be glad to return your call as soon as I have planning.
